In the third quarter of 2026, over 100,200 homes were sold across seven major Indian cities, marking a 10% increase from the previous quarter and a 3% rise year-on-year. Despite this sales surge, driven by returning buyers, the number of new launches also grew by 18%, leading to a 12% increase in unsold inventory. Property prices saw a 7% annual rise, reaching an average of ₹9,714 per square foot. This situation presents buyers with more options but also increased costs, while the market faces challenges in balancing demand and supply.
