FSSAI Issues Notices to Radisson Blu, BigBasket Over Food Safety Lapses

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has taken action against several food businesses for safety violations and misleading claims. An improvement notice was issued to Radisson Blu Hotel for hygiene and safety lapses, including poor upkeep and inadequate record-keeping. FSSAI also issued notices to BigBasket and Flipkart over allegedly misleading claims about Freedom Cooking Rice Bran Oil's cholesterol-reducing properties. Additionally, the licence of DNV Food Products Ltd was suspended due to serious hygiene and sanitation issues at its facilities.
