Conservationists aiming to reintroduce Eurasian lynx to England's Kielder Forest after a 1,300-year absence have had their legal challenge dismissed by the High Court. The Lynx UK Trust Community Interest Company sought to release three lynx as part of a monitored trial to assess their role in controlling deer populations and boosting biodiversity. However, the court ruled that the group's challenge to Natural England's decision was filed too late and would have failed on its merits.
