SFIO Deputy Director Arrested For Demanding ₹1 Crore Bribe

The CBI has arrested Harish Kumar Tanwar, a Deputy Director with the SFIO, along with two others for allegedly demanding a ₹1 crore bribe. Tanwar, an IRS officer, was posted in Chennai and was investigating the DHFL scam. The bribe was allegedly demanded from a complainant to provide relief in the investigation. The CBI verified the allegations and subsequently arrested lawyer Bharat Sharma while accepting an initial payment of ₹20 lakh. Another associate, Aryan Sharma, was also apprehended.

सीबीआई ने एसएफआईओ के उप निदेशक हरीश कुमार तंवर को दो अन्य लोगों के साथ ₹1 करोड़ की रिश्वत मांगने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। तंवर, जो एक आईआरएस अधिकारी हैं, चेन्नई में तैनात थे और डीएचएफएल घोटाले की जांच कर रहे थे। कथित तौर पर जांच में राहत देने के लिए शिकायतकर्ता से रिश्वत मांगी गई थी। सीबीआई ने आरोपों की पुष्टि की और बाद में वकील भरत शर्मा को ₹20 लाख की शुरुआती रकम स्वीकार करते हुए गिरफ्तार कर लिया। एक अन्य सहयोगी आर्यन शर्मा को भी पकड़ा गया।
