AI refers to machines that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, and decision-making. This includes narrow AI, designed for specific tasks like virtual assistants, and general AI, which aims to possess human-like cognitive abilities across various domains. Superintelligence, however, represents a hypothetical future AI that surpasses human intellect in virtually every field, including scientific creativity, general wisdom, and social skills. While current AI is task-specific, superintelligence would possess capabilities far beyond human comprehension.
