Annamalai Defends CJP's Right To Protest, Questions BJP's Tactics

Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai has again defended the CJP right to protest, criticising the government and Delhi Police's handling of demonstrations. He questioned if the BJP's actions were intended to give the CJP free publicity or split opposition votes. Annamalai contrasted the current situation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's past stance on protests. He stated that while he may not agree with the CJP's tactics, they have a right to protest important issues.

तमिलनाडु के पूर्व भाजपा अध्यक्ष के अण्णामलाई ने फिर से सीजेपी के विरोध के अधिकार का बचाव किया है और सरकार व दिल्ली पुलिस के प्रदर्शनों से निपटने के तरीके की आलोचना की है। उन्होंने सवाल उठाया कि क्या भाजपा की कार्रवाई का मकसद सीजेपी को मुफ्त प्रचार देना या विपक्षी वोटों को बांटना था। अण्णामलाई ने वर्तमान स्थिति की तुलना प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के विरोध प्रदर्शनों पर पिछले रुख से की। उन्होंने कहा कि भले ही वे सीजेपी की रणनीति से सहमत न हों, लेकिन महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर विरोध करने का उनका अधिकार है।
