Supreme Court to Hear Plea Against CEC

The Supreme Court will hear a petition next week concerning alleged disputes within the Election Commission. The plea, filed by Rakesh Kumar Singh, claims some decisions were made without the consent of other election commissioners, particularly regarding the special intensive revision of voter lists. The petition cites the Election Commission (Conduct of Business) Act, 2023, and alleges that at least 14 cases between October 2025 and August 2026 saw objections from other commissioners.

चुनाव आयोग के खिलाफ याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट सुनेगा

सुप्रीम कोर्ट अगले हफ़्ते चुनाव आयोग के अंदर कथित विवादों को लेकर एक याचिका पर सुनवाई करेगा। राकेश कुमार सिंह द्वारा दायर इस याचिका में दावा किया गया है कि कुछ फैसले अन्य चुनाव आयुक्तों की सहमति के बिना लिए गए, खासकर मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन संशोधन के संबंध में। याचिका में चुनाव आयोग (आचरण व्यवसाय) अधिनियम, 2023 का हवाला दिया गया है और आरोप लगाया गया है कि अक्टूबर 2025 और अगस्त 2026 के बीच कम से कम 14 मामलों में अन्य आयुक्तों की आपत्तियां थीं।
