'पीपल अगेंस्ट SIR' गठबंधन ने स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन (SIR) प्रक्रिया को रद्द करने और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञान प्रकाश के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर राष्ट्रव्यापी विरोध प्रदर्शन का आयोजन किया है। अर्थशास्त्री परकला प्रभाकर, वकील प्रशांत भूषण और किसान नेता राकेश टिकैत जैसे प्रमुख हस्तियों के भाग लेने की उम्मीद है। दिल्ली में पिछले विरोध प्रदर्शनों में महत्वपूर्ण पुलिस कार्रवाई देखी गई थी, जिसमें हजारों लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया और नेताओं को गिरफ्तार किया गया, जिससे विरोध के अधिकार पर सवाल उठ रहे हैं। विभिन्न समुदायों के 200 से अधिक संगठनों से बना यह गठबंधन दिल्ली से परे आंदोलन को व्यापक बनाने का लक्ष्य रखता है।
