Agniveer's First Batch Completes 4-Year Service, Receives ₹10 Lakh Check & 50% Reservation

The first batch of Agniveers, who joined the Indian armed forces under the Agnipath scheme, will complete their four-year service. Upon completion, each Agniveer will receive a 'Seva Nidhi' package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh, which is tax-free. While 75% will transition to civilian life, 25% of high-performing individuals will be retained in permanent service. To aid their reintegration, the government has arranged for a 50% reservation in paramilitary forces and offered age relaxations and exemptions from physical and written tests.

अग्निपथ योजना के तहत भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों में शामिल हुए अग्निवीरों की पहली बैच चार साल की सेवा पूरी करेगी। सेवा पूरी होने पर, प्रत्येक अग्निवीर को लगभग ₹10.04 लाख का 'सेवा निधि' पैकेज मिलेगा, जो टैक्स-फ्री है। जहाँ 75% नागरिक जीवन में वापस आ जाएंगे, वहीं उच्च प्रदर्शन करने वाले 25% व्यक्तियों को स्थायी सेवा में रखा जाएगा। उनके पुनर्एकीकरण में सहायता के लिए, सरकार ने अर्धसैनिक बलों में 50% आरक्षण की व्यवस्था की है और आयु में छूट तथा शारीरिक और लिखित परीक्षाओं से छूट की पेशकश की है।
