Nine Jailed For 441 Kg Ganja Seizure

A court in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, has sentenced nine individuals to prison terms ranging from 10 to 20 years for their involvement in a 2021 ganja trafficking case. The court handed down the sentences on September 25. The largest punishment, 20 years rigorous imprisonment and a ₹2 lakh fine, was given to alleged kingpin Yashpal Singh. The case involved the seizure of 441 kg of ganja concealed in a truck, which was intercepted in November 2021. The Narcotics Control Bureau led the investigation, tracing the contraband's origin and destination.
