Approximately 2.5 lakh shops remained closed, crippling business during a peak season just before Dhanteras and Diwali. The transportation and logistics system also suffered a Rs 1,500 crore blow, with thousands of vehicles stranded. The hospitality sector lost Rs 500 crore due to cancelled bookings and a lack of tourists.

CTI के अनुसार, दिल्ली के रामलीला मैदान में INDIA गठबंधन की विशाल रैली के कारण शहर के व्यापारियों को अनुमानित 11,000 करोड़ रुपये का नुकसान हुआ है। धनतेरस और दिवाली से ठीक पहले पीक सीजन के दौरान लगभग 2.5 लाख दुकानें बंद रहीं, जिससे व्यापार ठप हो गया। परिवहन और लॉजिस्टिक्स सिस्टम को भी 1,500 करोड़ रुपये का झटका लगा, जिसमें हजारों वाहन फंसे रहे। आतिथ्य क्षेत्र को बुकिंग रद्द होने और पर्यटकों की कमी के कारण 500 करोड़ रुपये का नुकसान हुआ।
