Indian Stock Markets Face Selling Pressure Amidst Geopolitical Tensions and FII Outflows
TV9 Hindi · stocks
Indian stock markets experienced significant selling pressure this week, with the Nifty 50 falling 2.36% and the BSE Sensex dropping 2.15%. This decline erased previous gains and marked the fourth consecutive session of losses. The downturn extended to midcap and smallcap stocks, driven by rising uncertainty, valuation concerns, and liquidity issues. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, coupled with rising crude oil prices and US Treasury yields, negatively impacted investor sentiment.
