Times of India · interesting
An Azerbaijani woman has transformed her decades-long passion for miniature books into a unique museum in Baku's Old City. The Museum of Miniature Books now displays approximately 8,000 tiny publications sourced from 76 different countries. Zarifa Salakhova began collecting these small works over 30 years ago, amassing religious texts, literary classics, and rare editions. The collection, which opened to the public in 2002, features books as small as postage stamps or matchboxes, with some measuring just 2 by 2 millimetres. This dedicated museum celebrates the intricate art of miniature publishing.
