MSME Body Seeks Fresh Funds For Loan Scheme To Clear Pending Applications

Business Standard · business

The Federation of Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (FISME) has urged the government to allocate additional funds for the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0 in the upcoming Union Budget. This is to clear eligible loan applications that remained pending when the scheme's guarantee allocation was exhausted. Many MSMEs applied before the scheme's closure but could not receive benefits due to unprocessed applications or depleted funds. FISME seeks a one-time window to process these applications, ensuring businesses access crucial funds for daily expenses and maintain production.
