Kochi Mayor V.K. Minimol has been elected to the Mayoral Board of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM). This global alliance unites over 14,000 cities and local governments across 150 countries, representing more than 1.2 billion people. Ms. Minimol will serve as the representative for South Asian cities on the Board, which shapes global urban sustainability and climate action policies. The appointment was jointly conferred by the European Commission's Executive Vice-President and Bloomberg Philanthropies founder.

कोच्चि की मेयर वी.के. मिनिमोल को ग्लोबल कोवेनेंट ऑफ मेयर्स फॉर क्लाइमेट एंड एनर्जी (GCoM) के मेमोरियल बोर्ड में चुना गया है। यह ग्लोबल अलायंस 150 देशों के 14,000 से ज़्यादा शहरों और स्थानीय सरकारों को एक साथ लाता है, जो 1.2 अरब से ज़्यादा लोगों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं। सुश्री मिनिमोल बोर्ड में दक्षिण एशियाई शहरों की प्रतिनिधि के तौर पर काम करेंगी, जो ग्लोबल शहरी स्थिरता और जलवायु कार्रवाई नीतियों को आकार देता है। यह नियुक्ति यूरोपीय आयोग के एग्जीक्यूटिव वाइस-प्रेसिडेंट और ब्लूमबर्ग फिलैंथ्रोपीज़ के संस्थापक द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से दी गई थी।
