A natural gas leak at ONGC's well Mori-5 in Andhra Pradesh's Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district triggered a blowout and fire on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred during repair work to enhance gas flow, conducted by contractor Deep Industries Ltd. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as there is no human habitation within 600 metres of the well. Cooling operations are underway, and international well-control experts have been engaged to cap the gas flow.
