Bank Staffer Among Three Held For Circulating Counterfeit Notes In Vellore

K.V. Kuppam police in Vellore have arrested three individuals, including a bank staffer, for circulating counterfeit currency. The arrested men were identified as G. Velmurugan, a bank employee, R. Ganesan, a farmer, and K. Satish, a saloon owner. Police recovered counterfeit ₹100 notes totalling ₹8,700 from the accused. This operation followed the earlier arrest of two other gang members, a farmer and a lorry driver, who were apprehended after a salesman at a Tasmac outlet alerted authorities. An investigation into the counterfeit currency network is ongoing.

वेल्लोर में के.वी. कुप्पम पुलिस ने नकली नोट चलाने के आरोप में एक बैंक कर्मचारी समेत तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरफ्तार किए गए लोगों की पहचान बैंक कर्मचारी जी. वेलमुरुगन, किसान आर. गनेसन और सैलून मालिक के. सतीश के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस ने आरोपियों के पास से कुल ₹8,700 के नकली ₹100 के नोट बरामद किए हैं। यह कार्रवाई दो अन्य गैंग सदस्यों, एक किसान और एक ट्रक ड्राइवर की पिछली गिरफ्तारी के बाद हुई, जिन्हें एक Tasmac आउटलेट के सेल्समैन ने अधिकारियों को सतर्क करने के बाद पकड़ा था। नकली नोटों के नेटवर्क की जांच जारी है।
