US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Ukraine does not currently have access to Starshield, the military-grade version of SpaceX's satellite service. Kyiv has requested access to Starshield for deep strikes inside Russia, a request that is now under discussion. Rubio clarified that Starshield is a defense product, distinct from the commercial Starlink service. He also rejected Ukrainian President Zelenskyy's suggestion that recent Starlink disruptions were deliberate, calling such reports categorically false. The US has not ordered any slowdowns, and the service has reportedly been restored.
