Israel has implemented new restrictions barring pilots and cabin crew from nations without diplomatic relations with it from entering its airspace. This directive follows an attempted hijacking on a flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30. The Omani co-pilot allegedly attacked the Indian captain, Smit Machchhar, in an attempt to seize control. Airlines like Air France and United Airlines are adjusting crew assignments to comply with the updated security directives issued by Israel's Aviation Security Operations Centre.
