Russia Current Account Surplus Increased Significantly

Russia's current account surplus surged to $33.9 billion in January-July 2026, a substantial rise from $21.5 billion during the same period in 2025, according to preliminary estimates from the Central Bank. The surplus in July 2026 alone was $1.7 billion, up from $1 billion in July 2025. This growth was primarily driven by exports of goods outpacing imports. The foreign trade balance surplus also increased to $79 billion, reflecting higher global commodity prices.

जनवरी-जुलाई 2026 में रूस का चालू खाता अधिशेष बढ़कर 33.9 अरब डॉलर हो गया। यह 2025 की समान अवधि के 21.5 अरब डॉलर से काफी ज्यादा है। सेंट्रल बैंक के शुरुआती अनुमानों के मुताबिक, जुलाई 2026 में यह 1.7 अरब डॉलर था, जो जुलाई 2025 के 1 अरब डॉलर से अधिक है। इसका मुख्य कारण निर्यात का आयात से आगे निकलना है।
