Chirag Paswan to contest UP, Punjab polls

Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) president Chirag Paswan stated his party will contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh and Punjab Assembly elections, even without the BJP. Paswan emphasized his party's organizational efforts in both states and their unwillingness to withdraw from the contest. If a seat-sharing agreement is not reached under the NDA, the LJP(RV) is prepared to contest all 117 seats in Punjab and 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh independently. The party aims to appeal to Dalit voters, particularly Passi voters in Uttar Pradesh.

लोक जनशक्ति पार्टी (रामविलास) के अध्यक्ष चिराग पासवान ने कहा कि उनकी पार्टी बीजेपी के बिना भी उत्तर प्रदेश और पंजाब विधानसभा चुनावों में उतरेगी। पासवान ने दोनों राज्यों में अपनी पार्टी के संगठनात्मक प्रयासों और चुनाव से पीछे न हटने की अपनी इच्छा पर जोर दिया। यदि NDA के तहत सीटों के बंटवारे पर समझौता नहीं होता है, तो LJP(RV) पंजाब में सभी 117 सीटों और उत्तर प्रदेश में 403 सीटों पर अकेले चुनाव लड़ने के लिए तैयार है। पार्टी का लक्ष्य दलित मतदाताओं, खासकर उत्तर प्रदेश में पासी मतदाताओं को लुभाना है।
