Delhi to Restrict Bus Entry to BS-VI, CNG, Electric Models from Nov 1

Hindustan Times · environment

New Delhi will only permit buses running on CNG, electricity, or complying with BS-VI emission standards to enter the city starting November 1. This measure, mandated by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), aims to curb severe air pollution. Sonepat Police are preparing to enforce these norms by setting up barricades and conducting vehicle checks. Bus operators are being informed and advised to ensure their vehicles meet the new requirements to avoid legal action. Alternative routes are suggested for traffic heading towards Jaipur and Agra.
