Delhi Consumer Commission Orders Free Repair For Army Officer's Waterlogged Nissan Car

A Delhi consumer commission has ordered a car service centre to repair an Army officer's Nissan car for free and pay Rs 50,000 in compensation. The vehicle, purchased in 2019, was partially submerged due to waterlogging in July 2021. After repairs costing over Rs 3.6 lakh, the car broke down again within a month, exhibiting gearbox issues. The commission found the service centre guilty of deficiency for failing to properly repair the waterlogged vehicle and address the gearbox damage.

दिल्ली की एक कंज्यूमर कमीशन ने एक कार सर्विस सेंटर को सेना अधिकारी की निसान कार मुफ्त में ठीक करने और 50,000 रुपये का हर्जाना देने का आदेश दिया है। 2019 में खरीदी गई यह गाड़ी जुलाई 2021 में जलभराव के कारण आंशिक रूप से डूब गई थी। 3.6 लाख रुपये से अधिक की मरम्मत के बाद, कार एक महीने के भीतर फिर से खराब हो गई, जिसमें गियरबॉक्स की समस्याएँ सामने आईं। कमीशन ने सर्विस सेंटर को पानी में डूबी गाड़ी की ठीक से मरम्मत न करने और गियरबॉक्स की क्षति को दूर करने में कमी के लिए दोषी पाया।
