Delhi-Katra Expressway Boosts Connectivity and Trade

The Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, spanning approximately 680 kilometers, is set to significantly reduce travel times between these key locations. Journeys from Delhi to Katra are expected to drop from 14 hours to about 6, and Delhi to Amritsar from 8 hours to around 4. This project aims to enhance connectivity across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu-Kashmir, easing traffic on NH-44. The expressway will also boost religious tourism to Amritsar and Katra, and facilitate faster trade and freight movement for agricultural and industrial products.
