Kosovo Ex-President Gets 25 Years For War Crimes

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has been sentenced to 25 years in prison by a tribunal in The Hague for war crimes. The court found Thaci and three other former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders guilty of illegal arrests, torture, murder, and cruel treatment. They were held criminally responsible for the arbitrary detention and torture of hundreds and 96 murders. Thaci, a key figure in Kosovo's independence movement, resigned as president in 2020.

पूर्व कोसोवो राष्ट्रपति हाशिम थाची को युद्ध अपराधों के लिए हेग में एक न्यायाधिकरण ने 25 साल जेल की सजा सुनाई है। अदालत ने थाची और तीन अन्य पूर्व कोसोवो लिबरेशन आर्मी नेताओं को अवैध गिरफ्तारी, यातना, हत्या और क्रूर व्यवहार का दोषी पाया। उन पर सैकड़ों लोगों को मनमाने ढंग से हिरासत में रखने और यातना देने तथा 96 हत्याओं के लिए आपराधिक रूप से जिम्मेदार ठहराया गया।
