Gandhi stated this on X, following a meeting of the INDIA bloc where the possibility of challenging the law granting immunity to the CEC and other Election Commissioners was discussed. Jurist Kapil Sibal suggested challenging the 2023 Act, which protects CEC and ECs from civil and criminal proceedings for official acts. However, some leaders expressed concerns about court appeals delaying matters and potentially legitimizing the law.
