Bathukamma Festival Begins Across Telangana With Floral Celebrations

The nine-day Bathukamma festival, celebrating Telangana's cultural identity and bond with nature, has commenced with grand festivities. Celebrations were held at historic sites like the Thousand Pillar Temple in Hanumakonda and in Hyderabad. Women and girls gathered to offer prayers to Goddess Gauramma with floral arrangements called Bathukammas, singing folk songs and dancing. The festival, observed from October 10 to 18, involves distinct rituals and food offerings each day, culminating in Saddula Bathukamma before Dasara.

तेलंगाना की सांस्कृतिक पहचान और प्रकृति से जुड़ाव का जश्न मनाने वाला नौ दिवसीय बथुकम्मा उत्सव भव्य उत्सवों के साथ शुरू हो गया है। हनुमकोंडा में हजार स्तंभ मंदिर और हैदराबाद जैसे ऐतिहासिक स्थलों पर उत्सव मनाए गए। महिलाएं और लड़कियाँ फूलों की व्यवस्था, जिसे बथुकम्मा कहा जाता है, के साथ देवी गौरम्मा को प्रार्थना अर्पित करने, लोक गीत गाने और नृत्य करने के लिए एकत्र हुईं। 10 से 18 अक्टूबर तक मनाया जाने वाला यह त्योहार हर दिन अलग-अलग अनुष्ठानों और प्रसाद से जुड़ा है, जो दशहरा से पहले सद्दुल बथुकम्मा के साथ समाप्त होता है।
