Surat Metro Unveils Diamond-Themed Interiors Reflecting City's Identity

Surat, India's Diamond City, is set to launch a metro system with interiors and infrastructure inspired by diamond facets and cuts. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi shared images showcasing the unique design, featuring geometric artwork, diamond-shaped elements on ceilings, and red doors. The theme extends to stations, with one designed like a diamond near the Surat Diamond Bourse. The project, comprising 38 stations over 40.35 km, aims to integrate the city's globally recognized identity into its public transport. Commercial operations are anticipated by the end of 2026.

भारत के डायमंड सिटी सूरत में जल्द ही मेट्रो चलने वाली है, और इसका इंटीरियर और इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर खास है। इसे हीरे के कट और फेस से प्रेरित होकर बनाया गया है। गुजरात के डिप्टी सीएम हर्ष संघवी ने इसकी तस्वीरें शेयर की हैं। इनमें ज्योमेट्रिक आर्टवर्क, छत पर हीरे के आकार के एलिमेंट और लाल रंग के दरवाज़े दिख रहे हैं। यह थीम स्टेशनों तक फैली हुई है, जिसमें सूरत डायमंड बोर्स के पास एक स्टेशन को हीरे जैसा बनाया गया है। इस प्रोजेक्ट में 40.35 किमी में 38 स्टेशन होंगे। इसका मकसद शहर की पहचान को पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट में जोड़ना है। उम्मीद है कि 2026 के आखिर तक इसका कमर्शियल ऑपरेशन शुरू हो जाएगा।
