Rajasthan HC Orders 20-Day Parole For Asaram

The Rajasthan High Court has ordered the release of Asaram, who is serving a life sentence for a minor's rape, on a 20-day parole. The court questioned why the, parole order had not yet been implemented. The state government argued that Asaram, convicted in Gujarat, should apply for parole there. However, the High Court stated that a conviction in another state cannot halt a parole granted by the Rajasthan High Court. The court mandated the state to release Asaram and submit a compliance report.

राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट ने आसाराम को दी 20 दिन की पैरोल कोर्ट ने पूछा, आदेश का पालन क्यों नहीं हुआ

राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट ने आसाराम को 20 दिन की पैरोल पर रिहा करने का आदेश दिया है। आसाराम को एक नाबालिग से रेप के मामले में उम्रकैद की सजा मिली हुई है। कोर्ट ने सवाल किया कि पैरोल का आदेश अभी तक लागू क्यों नहीं किया गया। राज्य सरकार ने दलील दी कि गुजरात में दोषी ठहराए जाने के कारण आसाराम को वहीं पैरोल के लिए आवेदन करना चाहिए। लेकिन, हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि दूसरे राज्य में सजा होने से राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट द्वारा दी गई पैरोल को रोका नहीं जा सकता। कोर्ट ने राज्य सरकार को आसाराम को रिहा करने और अनुपालन रिपोर्ट जमा करने का निर्देश दिया है।
