Kolkata Builder Ordered To Refund Homebuyers With Interest

A Kolkata couple will receive over ₹20 lakh with interest and costs after a consumer commission ruled in their favour. The couple had cancelled their flat booking due to prolonged construction delays by the developer. The commission found the builder deficient in service for failing to complete the project and provide explanations for the delay.

कोलकाता के एक जोड़े को ₹20 लाख से ज़्यादा ब्याज और खर्चों के साथ मिलेंगे। कंज्यूमर कमीशन ने उनके पक्ष में फैसला सुनाया है। जोड़े ने डेवलपर की तरफ से निर्माण में हो रही बहुत ज़्यादा देरी के कारण अपनी फ्लैट बुकिंग रद्द कर दी थी। कमीशन ने माना कि बिल्डर ने प्रोजेक्ट पूरा न करके और देरी का कोई जवाब न देकर सेवा में कमी की है।
