Calcutta HC Rejects TMC Accounts Plea

The Calcutta High Court has rejected an interim plea by the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) faction. The plea sought to operate three party bank accounts worth Rs 440 crore, which were frozen by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The court stated there was no prima facie case to grant the relief.

कोलकाता हाई कोर्ट ने ममता बनर्जी की TMC को बड़ा झटका दिया है। कोर्ट ने पार्टी के तीन बैंक खातों को फ्रीज करने के ED के फैसले पर रोक लगाने की अंतरिम याचिका खारिज कर दी है। इन खातों में करीब 440 करोड़ रुपये थे। कोर्ट ने कहा कि फिलहाल राहत देने का कोई ठोस आधार नहीं है।
