Andhra Pradesh CM Seeks Report on IAS Officer's Pub Brawl in Bengaluru

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed the Chief Secretary to submit a detailed report regarding a criminal case registered against Vikas Marmat, an IAS officer from the state cadre. Marmat, the KADA Project Director, was allegedly involved in an altercation with police officers during a routine check at a pub on Bengaluru's Residency Road. Following allegations of abuse and obstruction of duty, a First Information Report was filed against him and three associates.

आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री नारा चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने मुख्य सचिव को राज्य कैडर के आईएएस अधिकारी विकास मरमत के खिलाफ दर्ज आपराधिक मामले के संबंध में विस्तृत रिपोर्ट सौंपने का निर्देश दिया है। मरमत, जो केएडीए प्रोजेक्ट निदेशक हैं, कथित तौर पर बेंगलुरु के रेजिडेंसी रोड पर एक पब में नियमित जांच के दौरान पुलिस अधिकारियों के साथ झगड़े में शामिल थे। दुर्व्यवहार और कर्तव्य में बाधा डालने के आरोपों के बाद, उनके और तीन सहयोगियों के खिलाफ प्रथम सूचना रिपोर्ट (FIR) दर्ज की गई थी।
