मंगलवार को भारतीय रुपया अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले 13 पैसे मजबूत होकर 95.65 पर पहुँच गया। कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में गिरावट और घरेलू बाज़ार में सुधार से यह तेज़ी आई। सऊदी अरब द्वारा निर्यात बढ़ाने और पाइपलाइन बहाली की उम्मीदों से तेल की कीमतों में नरमी आई। भारत के शेयर बाज़ार में भी मामूली बढ़त देखी गई, जो गिरते अंतरराष्ट्रीय कच्चे तेल की कीमतों और कूटनीतिक प्रयासों से सकारात्मक संकेत दे रहा था।
