Kerala Health Dept Mandates Updated Medicine Stock Lists For Doctors

The Kerala Health Department has issued a circular to ensure uninterrupted patient treatment in government hospitals. Directors of Health Services and Medical Education are directed to maintain accurate medicine and laboratory reagent stocks. Updated lists of available medicines will be provided to outpatient department doctors to aid in prescribing. The department also mandates writing generic names on prescriptions. A bi-weekly report on reagent stock and future needs is required to anticipate and manage any shortages effectively. Funds can be used for purchasing necessary lab materials if unavailable.

केरल स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने सरकारी अस्पतालों में मरीजों के इलाज में रुकावट न आए, इसके लिए एक सर्कुलर जारी किया है। स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं और चिकित्सा शिक्षा के निदेशकों को दवाओं और लैब रिएजेंट के स्टॉक को सटीक रखने का निर्देश दिया गया है। आउट पेशेंट विभाग के डॉक्टरों को दवाएं लिखने में मदद करने के लिए उपलब्ध दवाओं की अपडेटेड सूची दी जाएगी। विभाग ने पर्चे पर जेनेरिक नाम लिखने को भी अनिवार्य कर दिया है। किसी भी कमी का पहले से अनुमान लगाने और उसे प्रभावी ढंग से प्रबंधित करने के लिए रिएजेंट स्टॉक और भविष्य की जरूरतों पर हर दो हफ्ते में एक रिपोर्ट देना जरूरी है।
