The Ladakh administration has expanded autonomous hill councils to all seven districts, increasing the total number of tehsils to 32. Chief Secretary Ashish Kundra stated that extensive discussions were held with religious and civil society representatives regarding constitutional safeguards. This move aims to enhance local governance and representation in the Union Territory, empowering communities with greater decision-making authority over regional development and administration.

लद्दाख प्रशासन ने सभी सात जिलों में स्वायत्त पहाड़ी परिषदों का विस्तार किया है, जिससे तहसीलों की कुल संख्या 32 हो गई है। मुख्य सचिव आशीष कुंद्रा ने बताया कि संवैधानिक सुरक्षा उपायों को लेकर धार्मिक और नागरिक समाज के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ विस्तृत चर्चा हुई। इस कदम का उद्देश्य केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में स्थानीय शासन और प्रतिनिधित्व को बढ़ाना है, जिससे क्षेत्रीय विकास और प्रशासन पर समुदायों को अधिक निर्णय लेने का अधिकार मिलेगा।
