Measles Deaths Rise To 1,053 In Bangladesh

Five more children have died from measles-like symptoms in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 1,053 this year. The Directorate General of Health Services reported 941 new suspected cases and 79 confirmed infections in the same period. Since March 15, over 1.57 lakh patients with measles-like symptoms have been hospitalised, with more than 1.51 lakh recovering. The outbreak continues to strain health resources and impact vulnerable populations.

बांग्लादेश में पिछले 24 घंटों में खसरे जैसे लक्षणों से पांच और बच्चों की मौत हो गई। इस साल अब तक कुल 1,053 लोगों की जान जा चुकी है। स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के महानिदेशालय ने बताया कि इसी दौरान 941 संदिग्ध नए मामले और 79 पुष्ट संक्रमण सामने आए। 15 मार्च से अब तक खसरे जैसे लक्षणों वाले 1.57 लाख से ज़्यादा मरीज़ भर्ती हुए, जिनमें से 1.51 लाख से ज़्यादा ठीक हो चुके हैं।
