Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota has urged universities to develop institution-specific plans for higher education reform. These plans should outline clear priorities, milestones, and timelines, focusing on strengthening institutions, faculty, research, and industry-academia partnerships. The initiative aims to enhance academic quality, student outcomes, and skill-based learning, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020. Kota emphasized that a robust higher education system is crucial for building Assam's human capital and contributing to India's knowledge economy.

असम के मुख्य सचिव रवि कोटा ने विश्वविद्यालयों से उच्च शिक्षा सुधार के लिए संस्था-विशिष्ट योजनाएँ बनाने को कहा है। इन योजनाओं में स्पष्ट प्राथमिकताएँ, लक्ष्य और समय-सीमा बताई जानी चाहिए, ताकि संस्थानों, शिक्षकों, शोध और उद्योग-अकादमिक साझेदारी को मजबूत किया जा सके। इसका मकसद शैक्षणिक गुणवत्ता, छात्रों के परिणाम और कौशल-आधारित शिक्षा को बेहतर बनाना है, जो राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 के अनुरूप हो। कोटा ने कहा कि मजबूत उच्च शिक्षा प्रणाली असम के मानव पूंजी निर्माण और भारत की ज्ञान अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है।
