Ohio Jail Built 1878 May Become Offices

An 1878 Ohio jail and sheriff's residence in Delaware has been sold by the Delaware County Historical Society to Andy Warnock. The 8,500-square-foot property, which operated as a jail until 1988, is being redeveloped into a mixed-use space. Plans include private offices, creative space, and potentially a Prohibition-era speakeasy in the former cells. The building, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, has a rich history.
