A police constable was detained in Pune after allegedly driving his car into the gate of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar's official residence on Tuesday evening. Officials stated the constable was under the influence of alcohol during the incident. Commissioner Kumar mentioned the personnel has a history of disciplinary issues and past offences, including a suspension and reinstatement. The accused is also reportedly dealing with mental health issues, and further action is being initiated.

पुणे में एक पुलिस सिपाही को मंगलवार शाम को पुलिस कमिश्नर अमितेश कुमार के सरकारी आवास के गेट में अपनी कार घुसा देने के आरोप में हिरासत में लिया गया। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि घटना के समय सिपाही शराब के नशे में था। कमिश्नर कुमार ने कहा कि उस पुलिसकर्मी का अनुशासन संबंधी समस्याओं और पिछले अपराधों का इतिहास रहा है, जिसमें निलंबन और बहाली भी शामिल है। आरोपी कथित तौर पर मानसिक स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं से भी जूझ रहा है, और आगे की कार्रवाई शुरू की जा रही है।
