Amazon Expands India Network Ahead of Festive Season

Amazon has expanded its India operations network with 20 new fulfilment centres, 6 sort centres, and 150 last-mile delivery stations. This expansion increases Amazon's total storage capacity in India by 50% to 64 million cubic feet. Many new facilities are located in non-metro cities. The company also created over 1.6 lakh seasonal jobs across 400 cities to manage anticipated demand. This move aims to enhance customer service and support economic growth.

अमेज़न ने भारत में अपने कामकाज का जाल बढ़ा दिया है। उन्होंने 20 नए फुलफिलमेंट सेंटर, 6 सॉर्ट सेंटर और 150 लास्ट-माइल डिलीवरी स्टेशन खोले हैं। इससे अमेज़न की भारत में कुल स्टोरेज क्षमता 50% बढ़कर 64 मिलियन क्यूबिक फीट हो गई है। कई नई जगहें छोटे शहरों में हैं। कंपनी ने 400 शहरों में 1.6 लाख से ज़्यादा मौसमी नौकरियां भी दी हैं ताकि बढ़ी हुई मांग को संभाला जा सके।
