PWD has started constructing a retaining wall along the Vathadev-Vhalshim bypass road in Bicholim to prevent landslides. This measure aims to ensure the safety of motorists, especially during the monsoon season. The hillside in this area had become a concern due to tilting boulders posing a potential landslide threat. Following resident complaints about the unstable hillock, authorities initiated remedial work to stabilize the vulnerable stretch and prevent debris from falling onto the road.

PWD ने भूस्खलन को रोकने के लिए बिचोलिम में वाथादेव-वालशिम बाईपास रोड के किनारे एक रिटेनिंग वॉल का निर्माण शुरू कर दिया है। इस उपाय का उद्देश्य मोटर चालकों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना है, खासकर मानसून के मौसम के दौरान। इस क्षेत्र में पहाड़ी ढलान झुके हुए पत्थरों के कारण चिंता का विषय बन गई थी, जिससे भूस्खलन का खतरा था। अस्थिर पहाड़ी के बारे में निवासियों की शिकायतों के बाद, अधिकारियों ने कमजोर हिस्से को स्थिर करने और सड़क पर मलबा गिरने से रोकने के लिए सुधारात्मक कार्य शुरू किए।
