Routine journeys in Israel's occupied West Bank have become long ordeals due to frequent road closures and military checkpoints. These restrictions significantly disrupt daily life for Palestinians, causing delays for work, school, and university. Tragically, the closures have also posed a daily threat to the lives of the sick, as illustrated by a case where a woman died due to delays in reaching medical care. While Israeli settlers move freely, Palestinians face hours-long waits at checkpoints, with roads sometimes blocked by settlers themselves.
