Centre Earns Rs 10,463 Crore From Gold Duty

The Centre has earned Rs 10,463 crore from custom duty on precious metals in just three months. During the same period, authorities seized 161 kg of gold in various raids across the country. The government also informed the Lok Sabha that it does not keep records of the total amount of idle gold held by families in India.

सरकार को तीन महीनों में कीमती धातुओं पर कस्टम ड्यूटी से ₹10,463 करोड़ मिले हैं। इसी दौरान, देश भर में हुई छापेमारी में अधिकारियों ने 161 किलो सोना जब्त किया। सरकार ने लोकसभा को बताया कि देश में परिवारों के पास रखे कुल खाली सोने का कोई रिकॉर्ड नहीं रखा जाता है।
