Lucknow University Changes PhD Rules, Assigns Thesis Colors

Lucknow University has implemented significant changes to its PhD regulations. To simplify identification, dissertations will now have binding colors designated by faculty: blue for management, commerce, education, science, and engineering; maroon for arts, fine arts, law, and the Abhinavagupta Institute; and forest green for agriculture, yoga, Ayurveda, and Unani. Additionally, college teachers can now guide part-time PhD students, and a five-step process for converting regular PhDs to part-time has been approved. The university also approved a 5% reservation for children of affiliated college teachers in PhD admissions.

लखनऊ यूनिवर्सिटी ने पीएचडी के नियमों में बड़े बदलाव किए हैं। अब फैकल्टी के हिसाब से थीसिस का रंग तय होगा, जिससे पहचान आसान होगी। मैनेजमेंट, कॉमर्स, एजुकेशन, साइंस और इंजीनियरिंग के लिए नीला रंग होगा। आर्ट्स, फाइन आर्ट्स, लॉ और अभिनवगुप्त संस्थान के लिए मैरून रंग होगा। वहीं, एग्रीकल्चर, योग, आयुर्वेद और यूनानी के लिए फॉरेस्ट ग्रीन रंग होगा। इसके अलावा, कॉलेज के टीचर अब पार्ट-टाइम पीएचडी छात्रों को गाइड कर सकेंगे। रेगुलर पीएचडी को पार्ट-टाइम में बदलने के लिए पांच चरणों वाली प्रक्रिया को भी मंजूरी मिल गई है। यूनिवर्सिटी ने एफिलिएटेड कॉलेज के शिक्षकों के बच्चों के लिए पीएचडी एडमिशन में 5% आरक्षण को भी मंजूरी दी है।
