INDIA Bloc Demands CEC Gyanesh Kumar's Resignation Amid Voter Roll Row

INDIA bloc president Mallikarjun Kharge has demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, citing alleged irregularities in voter rolls. The alliance also called for an immediate halt to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and a return to paper ballots. Kharge accused the government of protecting Kumar and alleged collusion between the BJP and the Election Commission. The INDIA bloc plans a 'Save Votes–Save the Nation' march and rally in Delhi on November 1 to protest these issues.

INDIA गठबंधन के अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने कथित मतदाता सूची की अनियमितताओं का हवाला देते हुए मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग की है। गठबंधन ने चुनावी मतदाता सूचियों के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) को तत्काल रोकने और मतपत्रों पर लौटने की भी मांग की। खड़गे ने सरकार पर कुमार का बचाव करने का आरोप लगाया और भाजपा तथा चुनाव आयोग के बीच मिलीभगत का आरोप लगाया। INDIA गठबंधन इन मुद्दों के विरोध में 1 नवंबर को दिल्ली में 'वोट बचाओ–देश बचाओ' मार्च और रैली की योजना बना रहा है।
