Atomic Energy Commission chairperson Ajit Kumar Mohanty urged India to leverage innovation and technology to tackle real-world challenges as it aims to become a developed nation. Speaking at BIT Mesra's convocation, he emphasized technology's role in clean energy, healthcare, food security, and environmental conservation. Mohanty encouraged students to pursue lifelong learning, noting that many future-shaping technologies are still evolving. He also highlighted the DAE's diverse work beyond nuclear power, including medicine and agriculture, and suggested BIT Mesra expand research in AI and clean energy.
