Jantar Mantar De-listed as Protest Site; CJP Slams Move

Delhi Police has de-notified Jantar Mantar as a designated protest venue, citing recommendations from a Ministry of Home Affairs committee. Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground in east Delhi have been named as alternative sites. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke criticized the decision, calling it an attack on the right to dissent and accusing the government of targeting democratic freedoms. Leaders from CJP expressed concerns that this move signals a broader threat to the right to protest and peaceful assembly in India.
