थराड एप्लिक वर्क समूह ने सैकड़ों महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाया

गुजरात के थराद में एप्लीके (appliqué) की बारीक कला लुप्त हो रही थी। लेकिन महिलाओं के एक समूह ने इसे संभाला। अब सैकड़ों महिलाओं को रोज़ी-रोटी मिल रही है और यह पुरानी कला भी बची हुई है। Flipkart Foundation और AIACA की मदद से यह समूह अब और आगे बढ़ रहा है। वे बाज़ार तक पहुँच और नए उत्पाद बनाने पर ध्यान दे रहे हैं। इससे न सिर्फ़ यह पारंपरिक हुनर ज़िंदा है, बल्कि वहाँ की महिलाओं के लिए नए रास्ते भी खुल रहे हैं।
