Dr Reddy's Gets DCGI Nod For Esophageal Cancer Drug Zytorvi

Dr Reddy's Laboratories has received approval from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for Zytorvi (toripalimab). This drug is intended to expand access to first-line immunotherapy for patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in India. Zytorvi's approval is for use in combination with cisplatin and paclitaxel for adult patients with unresectable advanced, recurrent, or metastatic ESCC. This marks Zytorvi's second approved indication in India, following its use for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma accounts for approximately 80 per cent of all esophageal cancer cases in India.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories को Zytorvi (toripalimab) के लिए Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) से मंज़ूरी मिल गई है। यह दवा भारत में एडवांस्ड एसोफेजियल स्क्वैमस सेल कार्सिनोमा (ESCC) के मरीज़ों के लिए फर्स्ट-लाइन इम्यूनोथेरेपी की पहुंच बढ़ाने के लिए है। Zytorvi की मंज़ूरी अनरिसेक्टेबल एडवांस्ड, रिकरंट, या मेटास्टैटिक ESCC वाले वयस्क मरीज़ों के लिए सिस्प्लैटिन और पैक्लिटैक्सेल के साथ कॉम्बिनेशन में इस्तेमाल के लिए है। यह भारत में Zytorvi का दूसरा स्वीकृत इंडिकेशन है, जो नेज़ोफेरिंगल कार्सिनोमा के लिए इसके इस्तेमाल के बाद आया है। एसोफेजियल स्क्वैमस सेल कार्सिनोमा भारत में एसोफेजियल कैंसर के सभी मामलों का लगभग 80 प्रतिशत है।
