Bangladesh has formally requested India to extradite former minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who fled the country following the "2024 uprising". Kamal was sentenced to death for crimes against humanity by a tribunal. Dhaka is also awaiting India's response to other extradition requests for fugitives.
